What a crazy year its been, it got off to a bad start and didn't get better. The pope gets attacked and there is another attempt on a plane. Is there not enough fear in the world ? But hey the Christmas sales are on full steam ahead so everyone is back to normal spending themselves in debt again regardless of what just happens.
Ok spending too much is down to each individual but the events at the "green" summit in Copenhagen are not showing good signs for the future. The issue of carbon emission is totally false, the media reports how China is dragging its feet and causing the rest of the developed nations ( read Europe and USA ) to stall over talks.
Consider this why would the minister of Sudan say that African nations signing up to the deal is committing suicide? Maybe because some countries in the world cannot provide the basics to its citizen today without the added complication of carbon tax and developing green technologies. How is a country supposed to develop green technology when it cant feed itself? has to buy certain amount of goods at inflated prices from certain governments and is in huge debt to the IMF? Its totally unrealistic.
In short:
The world does needs to move to a cleaner technology and STOP relying on PETROL and STOP polluting the ocean!
Kinda hard since the people who just battled over the oil fields are not going to be happy!
What we don't need is a carbon tax, Carbon dioxide is needed for trees to grow, what we need is to preserve the environment!!! Not tax countries and individuals on the amount of carbon they are producing. How is a village that only has COAL supposed to move to a green technology? It doesn't have the infrastructure or investment to do this, green technology is only for the RICH countries and the poor countries get TAX? what the fook!!!!
Why don't the rich countries pay the poor countries to preserve the farm land instead of force feeding them AID and destroying their lands?
Brazil and countries with the amazon forests should be paid by all countries to keep it that way.
Look at the O-zone layer scare, no one hears about it anymore because the O-zone is healing up, check the data its on the Internet.
Carbon tax for because of global warming? thats just BS, check the data!! first it was the O-zone and now its carbon? It's the thing that keeps the earth warm and helps the trees grow.
The polar ice caps are not melting ? yes during the summer and they grow during the winter because of the big warm thing called the SUN !!!
I wonder how many old people in the UK and across the world will die because they cant pay the heating bill to keep warm because of this "Carbon pricing " policy.

I sent out an email to a bunch of friends to test the waters and to my disappointment they all celebrate X-mas i.e buying presents and getting drunk with Santa rather than Christmas and the birth of Jesus. Why would anyone celebrate Hanukkah, Diwali or Chinese new year without any intention to the purpose of that event?
I thnk it's one of the saddest things that Santa has replaced the image of Jesus... it's pure madness...

Damn sick of hearing about Mr. T Woods and his affairs. He's like last year's Amy Winehouse, never out of the headlines. The latest thing on the radio about him was the excuse he did what he did because of what his father did and he was distressed by it. If he saw he own dad cheat on his mum, saw and felt the pain, yes you could say he saw and replicated that, equally you could say he saw the pain caused and vowed never to do it. You are responsible for your own actions and to like father ... like son , well I don't think it's black and white, a lot of it depends on yourself.
In my own world, my dad cheated on my mum am I going to do the same thing ? I saw the pain it caused and the trouble and it made me more determined not to do the kind of things that made me hate him. He's also a compulsive gambler spending most of his life in a casino, I feel so much revulsion that I've never stepped foot into a Casino ever.
Xmas time, festive time of year when people find a reason to get drunk and merry and say things like " christmas spirit/merry christmas" without any though about the CHRIST in christmas.
This year i've wished everyone a happy hanukkah, I wonder if they will know the difference?
